HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey kids, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope you all got a chance to kick it in your own styles for the new year and bring it in with a bang. I decided to coolify a cousin’s friend party, but it didn’t quite go as intended, none the less 2002 was invited into existence in proper style with an appropriate countdown and some champagne. Frankly though I’m glad that 2001 is all gone, because its going down as one of the worst Keyur years ever. GOOD RIDDANCE. If 2002 messes with me, shits gonna go down, just letting yous guys know.

A lots been going on lately on my end. Just making frequent trips to Edison, NYC, and the such. I finally got a chance to see “Ground Zero”. Its hard. Thats really all I can say. Its hard. After having been to “Ground Zero”, we went to Liberty State Park. This park is a great place to check out downtown Manhattan. I looked no less than five times to just make sure that in fact the Trade Centers were gone. Its hard to come to terms with that. Thankfully the Empire State building still stands tall and proud. My dad said something that just makes so much sense. It went something like this, “Without the Trade Centers the rest of the short buildings look like children who came for a field trip to NYC and lost their chaperones.” I still find it hard to stop my nose from my tingling and eyes from getting warm when I think back to the actual event of 9/11. I doubt I’ll ever be able to get the idea in my head that the WTC is no longer. I love NYC.

Other than all that, I have to say that I’m very glad with the weather here. Its finally gets cold enough at night that my face starts to numb, eyes water and nose dripping. Oooh yea! Thats where its at baby. If you’re cringing right now, baby thats just the start. Around 0F is where things get interesting.

I think 2001’s moment of utmost peace has to be this:

Wake up around 8:45a after a night where its been a little extra cold. Go straight to the car to warm it up to drop mom off at work. Enter the car with your jacket collar pulled up high and your face partially hidden by it. Turn the car on. Sit back, take a deep breath. Open your eyes wide and catch the morning sunlight melting the forzen dew drops. Watch your own breath make a thick cloud by the steering wheel and slowly disappear. The only other sound is the car engine gently whining from the cold morning, a few brave birds letting you know they’re hungry and the sounds of your unshaven beard scratching against the inside of the jacket collar.

Its utter peace. I have yet to top the peace I find in these few minutes on the cold mornings I have to drop my mom off at work.

In these last few moments of 2001 I feel that its best that 2001 is surely going to be left in the past. I hope that all of us have a happier and more prosperous 2002.

Next update after I get my mouth renovated.
